puppet user type
If you could get sock puppets of all the R&S users, would you wear them & make them talk as you read the Q&A?

It would be funny… yelling when you read the questions typed in ALL CAPS, sounding like a retard when you read questions from The What Should I Do Retard. I would make my right hand Christian and my left hand Atheist.

I’m not sure where I’d wear my sock puppet though??? Hmmm???

no—-I’m a rather busy person—–I don’t have time to knit sock puppets at the moment——I still have to schedule my bridge meet for this weekend–

User Modeling and User Profiling in Adaptive

User Modeling and User Profiling in Adaptive

$134.33

It is essential for useradaptive systems to have information about the user. Without any user information an adaptive system is not able to adapt itself to the users characteristics and preferences. The required information is stored and managed in form of user models. Thus, a user model represents the systems beliefs of the user. This work starts by giving the reader and overview of available and wellfounded user modeling methods, standards and existing systems. This theoretical excursion into the field of adaptive user modeling systems allows us to come up with a new approach based on a serviceoriented architecture. Serviceoriented architecture with its main advantages of modularity and flexibility is and ideal candidate to implement as user modeling system as these are exactly the two main characteristics which we are looking for in such a systems. The technical part of this work compares several serviceoriented frameworks and finally describes a serviceoriented implementation of a user modeling system. Pool User

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A Pool User (PU) is a client in the Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool) framework. Reliable server pooling (RSerPool) is a computer protocol framework for management of and access to multiple, coordinated (pooled) servers. RSerPool is an IETF standard, which has been developed by the IETF RSerPool Working Group and documented in RFC 5351 to RFC 5356.In the terminology of RSerPool a server is denoted as a Pool Element (PE). In its Pool, it is identified by its Pool Element Identifier (PE ID), a 32bit number. The PE ID is randomly chosen upon a PEs registration to its pool. The set of all pools is denoted as the Handlespace. In older literature, it may be denoted as Namespace. This denomination has been dropped in order to avoid confusion with the Domain Name System (DNS). Each pool in a handlespace is identified by a unique Pool Handle (PH), which is represented by an arbitrary byte vector. Usually, this is an ASCII or Unicode name of the pool, e.g. DownloadPool or WebServerPool. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. User Interface Markup Language

User Interface Markup Language

$81.25

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A user interface markup language is a markup language that renders and describes graphical user interfaces and controls. Many of these markup languages are dialects of XML and are dependent upon a preexisting scripting language engine, usually a JavaScript engine, for rendering of controls and extra scriptability. The concept of the user interface markup languages is primarily based upon the desire to prevent the reinvention of the wheel in the design, development and function of a user interface; such reinvention comes in the form of coding a script for the entire user interface. The typical user interface markup language solidifies often reused program or script code in the form of markup, making it easier to focus upon design of a user interface in an understandable dialect as opposed to focus on function. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles XFrames is an XML format for combining and organizing web based documents together on a single webpage through the use of frames. Similarly to HTML Frames, XFrames can be made useful through its power to create a content frame that is scrollable while other frames such as sidebar menus, the header and footer remain in place on the page. XFrames will be particularly useful to web developers who will be able to modify a single document and have that modification appear on all pages that contain the document within a frame. The main advantage of this next generation of frames is that it overcomes several of the major usability problems existing in the traditional framing system. ObjectOriented User Interface

ObjectOriented User Interface

$68.51

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In computing an objectoriented user interface (OOUI) is a type of user interface based on an objectoriented programming metaphor. In an OOUI, the user interacts explicitly with objects that represent entities in the domain that the application is concerned with. Many vector drawing applications, for example, have an OOUI the objects being lines, circles and canvases. The user may explicitly select an object, alter its properties (such as size or colour), or invoke other actions upon it (such as to move, copy, or realign it). If a business application has any OOUI, the user may be selecting and/or invoking actions on objects representing entities in the business domain such as customers, products or orders.
