How to have a successful theme birthday party

Your baby’s first birthday is a time which you will always cherish. The child’s growth in the first year is so remarkable that you cannot help but rejoice. Planning a first birthday is an easy task.

A famous tradition of a first birthday is to let the baby smash the cake. The cake is put on a high chair and then you let the child pick away. To see the hands coated with the cake frost and sugar is pleasurable. That even acts as a great photo.

These days’ theme parties are a rage for all ages. The choice of themes for the first birthday party is unending and simple like animal adventure, princess, pooh, Mickey Mouse etc. The next question is how to go about hosting a successful theme party? It is very simple and is stated in the paragraphs below.

After you have zeroed in on a theme, you would have to begin working on the other things that are important for the party like decorations, cake, invitations, favors, food and games. All these have to be in-sync with the party theme.

Let us begin with the invitations first. The invitations can be designed at home with the color pens, glitters, paper and a lot of craft items that suit your theme. But if you do not want to make them at home they can be ordered outside. The instructions and the details should be given out correctly. The invitations must be distributed by hand.

A kid’s party is the time when you also give out the birthday favors. A favor bag can be created and items can be put according to the theme of the party like, if the party has a theme “pooh” then color books, pencils, colors, rubbers and toys must all have “pooh” in common.

A birthday party is always incomplete without games. Think of games that are cute, cool, and those that the kids may love. You can put a puppet show, or a clowns show for the kids. If the kids are getting bored of a certain game, you can always begin another. Adults can also be included in the games and they wouldn’t be bored by the end of the party.

The food for the birthday party should be kept to the finger foods like the pizza, crackers, pretzels, chips, cheese, and pates etc. The name of the food could be changed like pigs in blankets (for the jot dogs), if you hold an animal theme party. Birthday cake is very essential part of every birthday. The birthday cake can be designed like a pooh if you have a “pooh” theme for your party.

The last thing is to relax and enjoy the day with your kid. Click lots of photos and video record all the moments. Your kid might not remember but these photos and video later will be very special to him.
