stop motion puppet animation show during the 80s?

I used to watch this style of show in the late 80s, Its style of costume is similar to the anime Captain Herlock. I’m guessing that the dolls were made in japan because the dolls look like japanese anime characters that’s all the rage now. I distinctly remember the hero’s name to be shiloh or shiro. The Villainess is the empress of an alien empire with a scorpion covering half of her face or the eye i think?
Anyone who could tell me what show is this? The setting is during a battle raging on space between earthlings and aliens complete with spaceships and army..
if this question was asked before. I haven’t yet read what the answer is. I just want information so that when I go to Japan next year, I can scour for any items or videos regarding this show. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Tnx!
