A competition was included the following year, labeled as Valdivia Cine Video. It is the biggest Polish music festival together with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest annual song contest in Europe. The contest was transmitted live by the Polish state television, TVP between 1994 and 2004. Later, the concert was transmitted by private media station TVN. The first three editions were held in the Gdansk Shipyard hall (19611963), after which the festival moved to the Forest Opera (Opera Lesna). Founded as the Deer Valley Music Festival in 1983, the Festival is centered around bringing renowned classical solo artists together to perform chamber music. In addition, the Park City Music Festival sometimes includes chamber orchestra performances by the Sonolumina Chamber Orchestra, live performances with silent film, and jazz concerts. For twelve years the Festival also included the Park City Young Artist Institute, a training ground for aspiring young artists from around the world.
